Hashtag #Reflection

I was instagramming the other day- that's a verb, right?- when I noticed something curious in the hashtags.

#morningreflection = 32,400 posts

#morningmotivation = 5,700,000 posts

It seems that people are more interested in getting pumped with motivation, rather than looking inward for reflection. It's no surprise really. We're an extroverted lot, we humans; More concerned with doing, than being.

But if you've ever lost your motivation when things were just starting to work, or wondered where where it went, and why you're so tired all the time, you needn't look any further.

Motivation is finite. Sooner or later something will change, or break. You'll run out of physical, mental, or emotional resources, and your momentum will grind to a halt. You might even wonder what's wrong with you.

Inspiration, on the other hand, is infinite. You tap into an endless well of energy to support you in every endeavor, and so much more.

But how do you get there?

Turns out, that endless well isn't somewhere "Out there." It's inside you. And the pathway is through reflection.

Make #morningreflection more important than #morningmotivation, and before long you'll never need motivation again.

Peace,

P.S. Tapping into inspiration is a deep conversation. If you're looking for support or guidance to find that in yourself, I can teach you. I'm teaching a live class, and have some spots open. Click here to learn more.
