A Nice Idea

"That seems like a nice idea. I'd love to do that...someday..." 

Don't get me wrong. It's wonderful to let your mind wander and explore possibility. 

But it's also important to recognize the difference between a "nice idea" and a commitment. 

Maybe it's just the introvert in me, but going out on a Friday night is a nice idea...until I'm done with the week and all I want to do is cook a nice meal and relax on the couch...

Fortunately my friends know me well enough to allow me a little grace because...

Far too often we're stuck in the in-between. Confusing nice ideas for commitments. 

Leaving the important things undone because we've over-committed to things that really aren't. 

So today I have a gift for you. Something to set yourself free...

This is your invitation to wipe the slate clean starting right now. 

You are hereby granted permission to remove any ill-conceived commitments from your conscience and slide them over to the 'nice idea' column. 

Likewise you can take those few very important things- things that feed your Soul- and slide them over to the "commitment" column. 

Go ahead and do that now. I'll wait...
